Keep going long and you'll eventually roll a new room that makes the rng suck slightly less.
Reached 46 on Day 39.

When you say 'reached' do you mean got to the antechamber or opened it? I reached it on my 4th or 5th day but couldn't get inside, I think I just found a way to get in on one of my previous days though I'm not sure if the house will have reverted what I did yet or not

The problem with this game is that the puzzles are either mobile tier braindead easy or very obtuse and deliberately niche for midwits to feel smart, but nothing cohesive in between those two groups.

It really ends up being more annoying than fun at the end.
It's like being served a puzzle. You have some fun figuring it out and now you're ready to solve it.
But the game goes "ah ah ah, you have to find the puzzle again before you can solve it".
So you play for 1-2 hours until you reach the puzzle again. Now you can solve it.
"Ah ah ah", goes the game. "You might have found the puzzle, but you have to find the answer too."
But you already know the answer. You know that X is the answer to Y. That's the fun part, figuring that shit out. It's not fun to have to find X and Y again, which is random, before you can proceed. At that point there's very little interesting to do, you just have to cross your fingers and hope you get lucky so you can move on.
It's a good idea and it did surprise me at times, but I just lost all interest after a while.
Anonymous No.715952746 [Report] >>715952879
>>715952650
The problem with this game is that its puzzles are dependent on finding the answer beforehand, there's no logic approach to them, either you've found it or you aren't solving it.

So, how were you meant to solve the billiards room puzzles without looking up what the colours meant online?
You would have to be fairly deep into the game to have found the solution legitimately and as a result probably wasted dozens of runs because you missed out on the key rewards.

bro
Billiard room starts with this logic, so the colors always follow the order of operation shown on the side. So each time you solve it you learn which color represents which operation.
And when colors start to appear all over the board then you'll know to follow the color=operation rule, and not the order written on the side.

I hate the clue book. I needed magnifying glass info from it like 5 times and you need to get it one day, then not get cucked out of magnifying glass the other. This one "normal" part of the game i think is horseshit. Library should always have a fucking glass

is this game more about logic puzzles or 'find a solution nearby'?
Anonymous No.715954627 [Report]
Blue Prince is the very definition of a game where the developer is so far up in his own ass, he doesn't realize he almost has made gold yet ends up making shit instead. With just couple small tweaks the game could be genuinely 10/10, yet now it barely makes the 6/10 cut. Few more QoL improvements, fixing few nonsense puzzles and NOT NERFING RNG MIGITATION would have allowed the game to earn the GOTY prize. Now it's still going to get the indie GOTY, but that's only because the dev is friends with journos.

It has a decent amount of logic style puzzles but a lot of the later stuff is anthropological and synthesising a bunch of esoteric hints that you don't even know are part of a puzzle into a solution. It'd decent up till the first ending. Then it has a problem of delineating what is a puzzle and what is not
