What went right: The mechanics are the deepest ever in the series by far, there's infinite possibility with the moveset and there will probably be shortcuts discovered for decades

What went wrong: 24 PLAYERS WITH THESE FUCKING ITEMS MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FRONTRUN A RACE FOR EVEN 5 SECONDS, NERF GOLDENS HOLY FUCK

There should have just been a clean break. GP for race tracks, Knockout Rally for the inbetween roads.

They forgot to add a story to the game

They should have stuck with the classic racetracks.
Now it's in many cases a boring drive to a racetrack in wich you make 1 lap.
There are also far fewer tracks than mk8 had at launch for switch.
Tracks like Koopa troopa beach don't help either.
