>>715961401 (OP)8K polling is a meme and not only isn't compatible with many games but also increases the load on the CPU which isn't negligible even if you have a 9800X3D. Polling rate isn't latency, your signals can be 0.125ms apart but still delayed by a few ms before they're translated from the raw sensor data to what the controller in the device sends to your computer. Going from 1000Hz to 8000Hz will cut down your latency by a millisecond at most, usually not really.
We see this shit in gamepads where many 250Hz gamepads have lower input latency than meme 2000Hz gamepads when independent testing is done and what good high polling rate gamepads there are, they have virtually the same latency at lower polling rates.
However, the faster controllers in these 8K mice are NOT a meme and are responsible for actual low latency you're seeing. It's just the insane polling rate that is the snake oil here.
So while I hate the placebo marketing, the hardware itself is nice. New wireless mice are now just 1-3ms slower in wireless mode and that's on the same mouse. A premium wireless mouse will shit on some cheapo wired mouse in terms of latency. Just don't be retarded and use your quality mouse at 1000Hz instead of 8000Hz. I also appreciate the adoption of optical switches which permanently fixed the double click menace.
