>#2 best selling game in Europe
why did it sell so well bros? I thought it was supposed to flop??
>>715963880>noo it flopped even tho it's the #2 best selling game in the euthen literally every other AAA title released in 2025 flopped by that logic
Europeans are not really humans so I believe it.
>>715963391 (OP)>third party estimation sourceepic. you needn't say more.
>>715963523Actually detailed sales figures are confidential. Market research companies are paying 5 and 6 figure sums to get those.
>>715963391 (OP)Let's go see how it did on steamchar- ACK!
What an embarrassing flop.
>>715965854it did better than AC Odyssey on steam and it too had a day 1 steam release. AC Odyssey went on to sell more than 10 million copies so this cope doesn't work I'm afraid
>>715966227>it did better than AC Odyssey on steamno it didn't
it had 5k more playes in the first month but the drop-off rate is way harsher for shadows than odysee
>>715963391 (OP)Ninja and samurai shit will always sell bazillions regardless, it's one of the popular historical setting and power fantasy
Plus AC fans wanted a feudal Japan AC game for a decade
I've played the game for like 10 hours, dropped it afterwards, because sadly it's still a bog standard AC game, too formulaic, done to death
But I will give Ubishit props for actually making a "good" stealth system for once; light/shadow is a thing, sound is a thing, you can go prone, you can grab enemies and get them somewhere to ko them
>>715967154odyssey wasn't on Ubisoft plus on release and shadows preorders were exclusive to the ubisoft store until late last year. there's a sizable chunk of players that played through the ubisoft store. even despite that shadows did better than odyssey on launch and it's only beaten by valhalla which came out during covid lockdowns
>>715965751ubisoft does release sales numbers but only years after the game comes out
>>715969215Yes, when trends and the industry in general has moved on to the point that those figures are no longer relevant for research purposes.
>>715963391 (OP)If it did so well why are ubisoft struggling so badly
>>715969769too many other flops. even a massive success like shadows can't make up for years of flops
>>715966227Odyssey was not a day one release for steam
>>715963391 (OP)Curious how the 2nd best selling game this year only had 60k concurrent players on Steam though. How did that happen? That's a very low number for a big, popular game release, like 10 times lower than what actually successful games pull on Steam. Even if you say all of its success was on console, what is the reason why AC: Shadows flopped so badly on PC?
>>715970030>3 million "players" across all platforms>massive successso did one of your tranny friends kill themselves or something?
>>715970568The only one coping here are the losers who still make these pathetic threads and try to shill for this game. It's over dude. The game was a flop and literally nobody liked it aside from using it for culture war shitposting purposes.
>>715965751yeah so what the fuck is the point of tweeting it
>heres info you cant see, RANKEDwow ty. Such insights
>>715968273They literally cancelled those preorders due to delays and preorders in general were launched on Steam,Epic and Ubi connect at same time on PC because of that. Nigger.
>>715965751Not true, a lot of game companies give sales numbers after reaching certain milestones.
>>715963391 (OP)I whanna see the raw data. This looks to me like Ubisoft paid someone to try and market their slop as if it sold.
>>715971205Also they should exclude any instance where the game was included for free with another product. For example when you buy a console you got AssCreed slop.
>>715969407they have moved on because releasing player numbers paints them in a better light
>>715963523y-you don't need to see numbers, just buy the slop please
>>715971041I said detailed sales figures are confidential. That would be an actual breakdown of units by platform, territory, date etc. But "We sold X million copies" makes for a good headline that the vast majority of people who read it take as a just-so story and move on.
>>715963523This should be legally required. Even more for companies like Ubi which survive almost solely off government dollars meaning the general public funds these games but then the same people funding it aren't allowed to easily access sales information to see exactly what's happening with their, and their governments, money.

>"The special analysis is based on sales of video and PC games in the physical market for the following countries: Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary."
>Physical only
Europe is not as console centered as Japan for them to completely ignore Steam, making this ranking virtually meaningless.
Meanwhile on Circana (which tracks revenue), a $50 game that hadn't even sold 3 million copies at the time of the ranking, knocked Shadows out of second place.
I understand these threads are made by the samefagging tranny, but jesus, I swear not even FB boomers fall for headlines as easily as you retards do.
>>715972662>noo it's not #2 it's actually #3wow this changes everything
>>715973295It actually does.
Not my fault you are brown retard that can't even begin to grasp the concept of "revenue".
it's because there's a secret cheat code that makes the black guy stick it in the girls pooper. which is actually very historically accurate; ninjas were very big on natural birth control. in fact; the government should make birth control illegal so women will take it in the ass more often. but that's just my opinion.
I have a PHD in history, so you can trust me.
>>715963391 (OP)Do I get to kill christcucks in this game? Might check it out if so
>>715963391 (OP)because at the end of the day, regardless of how bad a game may be, normies are going to do normie things and pre order the new ass creed game
>>715969769they have like 20 studios and thousands of employees. theyve built way too much and dont have steady income to support themselves anymore
>>715965164>it sold so well they had to get bailed out by Chinawhat a new post truth standard
>>715973650what's the big difference between #2 and #3 that makes one a success and the other a failure?
>>715974165you mean the deal that was negotiated before the game came out?
>>715974583One was the remaster of a 20 year old game, the other one is a AAAA game that was $250-350 million before marketing expenses.
How is this hard to understand?
>>715975759>How is this hard to understand? You're hitting the per capita barrier anon.
>>715975759so one has a lower budget and made a lot of money and the other had a higher budget but also made a lot of money. sounds like they both won
>>715976359No, one made a lot of money and the other didn't even como close to recouping its development costs.
>>715963523This post is anti-Semitic
>>715963391 (OP)pay tayes ubisoft not saars
>>715967279Are there fun buildings to climb?
>>715978424Oh no, only 18 000 left...
>>715978721Japanese architehture is somewhat limited.
