In an Obscure story i followed for a while that was a big plot point, many characters lived in a horrible world filled with suffering and needed to be stronger and to more deeply understand the nature of magic in the world, many chapters later it is revealed that magic stems from suffering, you can't save anyone and there's no "good way" to fix things, this mindbreaks one of the characters and narratively it works well putting the reader in their shoes, i honestly can't see PM pulling something like that off.

Roland's arc is realizing he is a hypocrite and no one is actually responsible for his wife's death. Under his own code Angela's actions are what he would have done as well, and over the course of the game he realizes she isnt really that much different from him in the sense that they both embody the problems of the city. Mainly that their behavior creates a cycle of enabling shitty behavior under the guise that its just the way of the city so its not their fault. During his boss monologue he even admits he doesnt know wtf to do anymore but he is too deep and killed too many people to get this far and forget it all. Angela breaking the cycle by forgetting her suffering and releasing the light despite it being significantly worse than his own whitepills him and makes him realize the cycle can be broken, that he can be redeemed, and that things can get better, so he finally gets some kind of conclusion to Angelica's death.

Since you experience those 4 hours as if it were 24 hours, no. You have to agonize on a localized time scale that you have 1/6 the amount of time a normal person does. Assuming you even know that other people get that much time (usually you'll know from word of mouth).
Thankfully, you can always just go become a criminal, steal some time for a while, and nobody will really care as long as you don't press your luck.

Clerks lovers are easy deal with. Mountain is dangerous if it eat enough corpses (thing form is worse to deal with than NT IMO) but is really weak just after breach (or for entire breach if there are no corpses). Monk is joke, Forsaken Murderer of WAWs who always go to same location. Bird is not that hard to handle (unless you are distracted) but you can increase it's counter. Army is also not problem if you have strong team in each departament, if not it will lead to disaster domino, but you can still raise it's counter with suppression of other abnos (and even use it's support)

I had Army consistently breach on Binah core and Day 49 thanks to the black spike shockwaves, not to mention Violet Noon and other mass clerk extinction ordeals. You cannot stop him if he goes from counter 3 to 0 instantly and he has the shortest clerk death count required for counter drops compared to all other clerk lovers. It got to the point where I needed to assess which departments he spawns in, then if it was someplace with no breaching or no dangerous abnos I had to evacuate all the agents and simply let him nuke the place over the effort of killing him
