Because when they released l4d1 they promised DLCs, mods and updates for years to come, so obviously people were upset when a new game released a year later for the same price. But everyone that complained bought the game either way so

a bunch of retarded L4D1 loyalist got buttmad that a new game was coming out to quickly.
They hated the new enemies. Because they got so used to huddling up in a corner and melee until everything was cleared. That is what everyone did in L4D1 expert. Just get in a corner and there's no stamina so they can just melee until it's cleared.
They aren't used to spitters forcing everyone to scatter or charger just bulldozing through everyone in L4D2 so they buttmad they can't do that anymore.

I'm glad they added three more special infected to counter that specific tactic and made most of the crescendos on maps involve moving from point A to B, rather than just laying an egg in a corner or something.
