How do you get the patience to actually finish games?
I haven't finished a single game in over 10 years

I think you mean discipline, and patience is definitely something people can control. It's kind of like working out; You have to accept feeling uncomfortable to be stronger afterwards. Waiting is exactly the same, and it's testing your brain.
