He only looks the way he does because y'know… nameless bard is dead if that's merely a representation of a now deceased human then he probably doesn't have male genitalia if he's only projecting an inage of what someone once looked like and by extension we can't truely call him male even if he's assigned he/him pronouns.

I have not played Astolfo's game but from what I've read on credible sources, Astolfo's gender is purposely left ambiguous but they/them pronouns are consistently used in-game.
