>>716017517Actually the magick stone ring is easily missable. You get it after the second event in the gemstone mine and that event only occurs many years after you add that territory to your empire. So if you go through the canal fort at the start of the game and ignore the western route until the end, it's entirely possible that you reach the final emperor without that event ever occurring.
And as for fixed order formations, the martial artist, herder, and corsair formations involve the emperor attacking first. Only the samurai formation would ensure the emperor does not attack first. But of course you can just use a formation that penalizes the emperor's speed and/or equip him with heavy armor, rather than using a fixed order formation.
Or better yet you can simply cast Mist Cover on your emperor. He will not get hit by temptation while he is invisible (and he might spark an evasion skill). He can stay invisible and heal your other team members during the final battle.
