Do you realise how rarely anyone on this board actually talks about gameplay of anything? It's just not that interesting a topic of conversation.

The only time you'll ever see gameplay be a hot topic for discussion it's when people start yelling at each other over balance in online games. Hardly the board at its best. Ironically these threads do end up with gameplay discussions more so than for other games because we will still talk about trying to beat the knight or jevil or whatever boss fight in this game is actually hard.

The far more popular topic is going to be story with a game like this. And trying to argue that doesn't count is retarded because what board is supposed to discuss that? It wont belong on /tv/ or /co/ because in the end Deltarune is still a video game.

it doesn't do that, the entire game beyond the RUINS establishes that she was full of shit and should you have killed her on a non-genocide route she urges you to kill everyone you meet on the way to and including her eggs husband.
The whole middle to end of the game firmly establishes that she's full of shit about Asgore and while he's not morally pure he basically took the best option of a bad situation and the guilt tormented him so badly that he needed to be saved by his post mortum son in a flower.
Arguably Toriel's idea of trapping humans and keeping them as a pet until they expire to harvest them is way WAY crueler than what Asgore was doing.
