Using terms like "swear words" is cringe. Why are certain words considered inherently offensive? I understand if you're using "fucking" to mean "having sex with" that would sound impolite. Just used to be a lot of really obnoxious stories about like, evil DMs and secret player plots to epically own them, or big manly tears stories about sad character deaths. Culminated in the old man henderson crap where it became really blatant that anything that happened could only have occurred with the DM permitting a whole bunch of stuff he could've reasonably shut down.

Well, to answer your question, there used to be a general understanding up until about 10 or so years ago that you don't say that shit around strangers or polite/formal company. It was deemed impolite to say shit like "man I need to go lay down a steamy stinky shit in the toilet" and saying that means you have no respect for the people you're talking to, that's why it's offensive, and also why cursing at people was legitimately fighting words for such a long time. Think about it, remember when shit like "go fuck yourself" actually meant something? You hear that from 10 year olds walking down the street now. And the reason it was deemed impolite is the same reason you don't say "fucking" as opposed to "sex" and shit like that.

No, in terms of moment to moment gameplay sop almost feels like Godhand with it's pick and slot combos while also having a mechanic to animation cancel your attacks to speed up your combos. There's a bunch more mechanics on top of that and a very deep job system. It's very fun

You know, people said the story was horrible, was cringe, but I played it and really liked it
I thought it was super engaging, quite interesting, the characters were fun, the overarching story was pretty good, the whole conceit of the Lufenians building a utopia was cool

The book absolutely DID NOT say that. This is just a recent example, I used to have a DM say "shit" under his breath whenever one of use made a bad roll. He always rooted for us to win, because why wouldn't he? He spent a month putting this together, how stupid would it be to piss the whole table off and never do another game?
