This image is stupid because it's fundamentally impossible to objectively describe internal qualia like that. We don't have language that's precise enough.

Someone could imagine things really well but rate themselves a 5 because they assume 1 means you're actually literally seeing and hearing things like a schizophrenic. Conversely, someone that's genuinely brain damaged could rate themselves a 1 because they assume their subjective experience is as good as it gets for the average person.

The easy way to prove it is to ask someone to draw that apple without image references, or any other everyday thing. Most people don't -actually- know the fine detail of what things look like. The little streaks of red and green blending together on the surface of the apple, how thick the bezel on their phone is, how many panels of wainscoting are on their front door - they don't actually know, they just have an abstract blob in their head.

If you ever apply for a pilot or air traffic controller, they have tests that actually measure if you can do this. It's not an apple, but they have dice, boxes or shapes you have to "rotate" or "arrange" in your mind to recreate an image. That's just one of the many tests they do to see if you can visualize things in your head. People failing, this actually proves a vast majority of people can't create or manipulate images in their mind.
