>>716051491The game Hotel Dusk on Nintendo DS was also written by a female narrative director. So was Deus Ex Human Revolution, but especially the former is so fucking good, that it singlehandledly made me want to explore literature written by women.
I find the main difference that comes from the sensibilities of gender is that women are not at all averse to "edgy" content, but they're not thinking with a penis, so they write characters in a way that makes them way more 3 dimensional than men do. And they still write male characters with a lot of "balls". But so often, male writers become like Kodaka who makes Danganronpa. They reveal that they're porn addicts through the writing, and couldn't resist making the women exist for the sake of titilating the viewer, and it fails the writing as they're largely mediocre characters in the text, but fans just love them because they're "hot".
But there's a lot of mediocre, trash-tier female writers who joined the industry out of activism, which is reflected in the average writing quality of AAA games with 8+ writers are just... insufferably badly written.
