With the PS Move? Never. the hand lotion got stuck in the charge port and I didn't want to clean it out with a brush every time I tried sticking it up my ass. Eventually I caved in and bought a regular dildo. Honestly I owned one of these back in the day and the accuracy completely mogged the Wii which was its primary (and only) comparison.
If they had actually supported it and given it first party content worth buying I think it would have held out far longer, if not a complete success.

In the end it suffered from the same problems as VR today. Locked to a single console, terrible support and bad advertising with nobody willing to innovate and take the next step.

There's a lot of try hard edgy faggots in this thread. I grew up with Duck Hunt on Nes. I got the Super Nintendo Bazooka. I got the Wii. I got the Valve VR. Fun things are fun, yeah they might not have an industry changing appeal and are usually generational gimmicks, but that doesn't change that it's an interesting way to play and allows for a larger variety of video games.

A large reason it sold as well as it did was because many game devs were lazy fucks and many fps that used it attached some form of autoaim to it.
Killzone 3 was probably the most notoriously worst since it was 100% headshots that even after cover could stay locked on for a short amount of time and ensure headshots through cover.

Sony seemingly encouraged the shit as well to try and sale the gun accessory

It was a half-assed copy of the Wii with outside-in tracking that wasn't quite there yet. Console motion controls are also shit, because there are usually no rebindable controls, so you get stuck with gimmicks and bad controls.

The Playstation Move came out in 2010. The generation was already entering its final years and the normalfag audience already had and was getting tired of the Wii and they were the only ones that were truly going crazy over motion controls, core gamers didn't give a fuck and that's the PS3's main audience. There was just no reality where it would have held on or succeeded.

Sony made alotta good headway with the ps3 after the first what 2 years but the thing that really sealed Microsofts decline was the Kinect.
The E3 cirque du soleil show along with the actual E3 showcase was really a 1 2 punch for them.

i have a friend like that but he convinced himself that he got his fill of my kinect and determined it was alright without needing to pay for one himself. He liked to point to homebrew PC stuff as reasons why the kinect was "obviously" good.

He got an Xbone and on three separate occasions it acted up on us when we tried to play splitscreen on it. the rare replay version of perfect dark was unplayable in multiplayer because it wanted each player separately signed in to a profile and the xbone seemingly didn't have the ability to do that with it's one valid account. After a couple months it was used as his netflix machine and not long after it was being so annoying and bitchy about starting the console and loading a streaming service, my friend got a used PS4 to use instead, and then his GF could play old PS1 games digitally

I have 3 of the stupid things. One because I wanted to play house of the dead 4 and it seemed the least awful way at the time and then you need 2 for PSVR and nobody sold just one so I had to buy the combo pack of the "upgraded" models. And NONE OF THEM have working magnetometers. You can fuck around with the "recalibration" all you like, they don't work. The PS4 at least admits it and says there's a fault with the sensor. When you google it apparently it's a "known issue" and you just need to return them and roll the dice again.
Fortunately no game I played seems to care. But then there's not really anything worth playing.
