It's probably my favorite but I love it despite its many flaws, I feel the same way about 8 and 9. X is probably the best Final Fantasy, a perfect merger of the old game systems, story, world building, and timeless graphics.

People get uppity when they realize it’s very much a survey narrative of a war torn land rather than a character drama, but even the characters of 12 are very believable and well written

They have their roles and play them well
Aside from that, the voice acting is phenomenal, the cutscene direction and general presentation are top notch, and the music is beautiful
Gameplay wise, you have an extremely customizable system with the gambits and classing, tons of side quests and optional dungeons/bosses, and great QOL enhancements in the recent ZA port that make replays or new games enjoyable
It’s one of the rare FFs where a replay is superior to the first run because of all the different options you can take with character growth

I hate how a lot of big themes seemed to be copy paste of Star Wars, since the prequels released at that time.

Why americans always say that? There's nothing about this that is Star Wars besides the very basic party premise. The conflict isn't the same, the storylines aren't the same, the romances aren't the same. It's like saying you are didn't like Star Wars because of the big japanese samurai themes.

It has clear flaws and it takes a while for you to truly get into it, but you end up appreciating how much stuff and ideas they tried to make it here. The last truly ambitious Final Fantasy game in the main series.
