I played FTL way back in the day, so I have no idea what meta updates were made since, but I had a lot of fun with this for like two weeks or so. I could have seen myself grinding for all the unlockables, but it seems to really favor a certain type of playstyle. For how many cool items there are to build a proper raiding party, in later stages the enemy can so easily bash through your crew and it's so unreasonably hard to properly replace them that it's just not worth it. Instead fill your crew with casters that can punch through enemy shields and go full out on weapons. Don't even get me started on the bullshit that are possessed vessels.

the broad strokes are literally the same but it plays pretty differently since void war way more crew orientated than FTL
