In vanilla I loved the idea that worgen were basically just interdimensional monsters from the werewolf dimension, I never liked how they basically just watered them down into being just werewolves with cata.

As a playable race, I think the females are hideous and the combat animations for the males never sit well with me, they look like idiots fighting with anything other than unarmed weapons. Their casting animations are good though. I always kind of wish there there weren't even a female worgen model, like just have them all use the same model in worgen form and then you just revert to an actual gendered human form when you use that RP ability.

That said I think running wild is probably one of my most favorite abilities in the entire game. Any time I ever tried to make a worgen character the one thing that would bring me joy was dropping down on all fours and tearing ass. It's just fun having your character do that, it feels like sprint on steroids.

A high-and-mighty character like Whitemane could give in to wild carnality with either gusto or shame, or it could make her even more prideful as she considers the power granted a sign that she is one chosen by the gods, or she could even find the experience humiliating in the biblical sense and its the start of her redemption. A pious woman might maintain piety, give in, or something in between.

There's 3 ways to become a worgen in lore that we know of
1. The original sect of druids who used the scythe (they went insane)
2. Bit by an insane/feral worgen (the worgen cata intro quest)
3. Drink worgen blood (horde cata quest)
There's no "new worgen" afaik, every player worgen is just from the gilneas intro quest.
They did introduce a new cure in legion, balance druids get the scythe of elune and can use it on feral worgen that were once members of the sect.

None of those factions have any reason to "forgive" each other when the current timeline has only progressed, what, 30 years since WC3? The Humans left should have a burning hatred of both the Orcs for 2 separate attempts at genocide, and the Forsaken for being the remnants of the Undead legion that left Lordaeron and Dalaran destroyed. Doesn't really matter if they're not under the thrall of the Lich King, they're undead, and it's not like you really want to take the chance there aren't sleeper agents sneaking in with them. Night Elves lost a literal Demi-God and had large swathes of their homeland and sacred forests chopped down by the Orcs and there's that whole return of the Burning Legion bit. And everyone hating the Orcs should just be a given when they repeatedly can't help being retarded and choosing the dumbest possible decision in any given moment.

It's more a case of bad writing that all that bad blood could be forgotten in barely a generation when like 70% of all the races on Azeroth should be dangerously close to extinction.

the audience and style of wow has shifted over time. originally it was a game made by men for men. But now? It's made for kids, for women, basically it's made to be as inclusive as possible.
