it has been out for 5 years and if your playing casually you will get several months of content before you get caught up to current content.
it is contested if it is still on top but it is certainly one with a higher female ratio than most, there are newer gatcha games trying to do the same thing but prettier but genshin still seems to have a lot of fujos playing.
it gets content drops every 6 weeks and has various events that are usually mini games and some combat events going at nearly all times where a couple days after one ends a new one starts, for example today there is a minigame where you aim a cannon to fire shots at various common enemies.
i started playing 3 years ago in patch 2.7 and i have put over 2,000 hours into it and we are about to get 5.8 which is a summer event patch before the next region.
