So, assuming that they don't get any external help from Nintendo themselves or any other studio, this is going to be an unoptimized piece of shit, right? We're talking like an unlocked and inconsistent 40fps on the low graphics settings, yeah?
I'm hoping for the opposite to be clear but it doesn't seem likely

Elden Ring is a ps4 game, and that version has the most stable framerate because it runs at a lower dynamic resolution. The Switch 2 version has the chance to be one of the most stable versions of the game. It will most certainly be graphically similar to the Ps4 version, but could be better because of its more modern rendering tech.

I still return to it sometimes on my PS4. But I canโt make my waifu in the character creator, so I get frustrated and lose motivation whenever I try to make her.
But I did find a good guide on how to make Saber, and have the start of a strength/faith build going on with her. I might finish that save file.
>>716099934
Looking up the performance shows me the game hovering around 30fps on ps4pro and 50 with drops on series S
Assuming the Switch 2 can do just around Series S natively makes me think that 40-50fps is likely, and if they actually incorporate DLSS (a gamble for Fromsoft im sure), maybe a consistent 60. We'll have to see I guess.
>>716100347
Yeah, I'm super interested in this port. Dark Souls Remastered on switch 1 ended up being a really great version of the game. It had the QoL stuff from the other versions but retained the graphics of the original ps3 version. It did have crunchy sound, but I don't see them making the same kinds of compromises with Elden Ring.
>>716097129 (OP) >canโt add friends after cooping with someone >canโt get hate mail from the host you killed >18fps >downgraded in every way
Whatโs the point?
>>716100881
All of those things are false besides the hatemail thing. I for one can't wait to invade tendies just like I did in DS1 on switch 1. Gotta make sure they get the true experience
>>716098064 >they release one single game as a console exclusive post-2010 >its a giant IP disaster and everyone hates that bb is stuck on the ps4 >people have to wait a literal decade for it to be playable on real hardware >... >do the same shit with nintendo
what the fuck? is from retarded?
>>716101542 >>716098220 >>716101606 >tendies now defend fromsoftware because their new shiny gets a release
sadly its pvp.... from software pvp....
not only that but why dont you guys ask how great the netcode for smash is...
its doa, not even the bloodborne2 vibe will save it
>>716101018
its absolutely gonna run at 20-30fps, did you see the trailer? its all aliased to shit with framedrops mid combat, and this is the "polished" version they're putting out for marketing
>>716097129 (OP)
Why would I have $120 for a tiny plastic cart of a game that's been out for years now, when I can play it at higher frames on a Deck or just pirate it on PC?
>>716102376
because if i make comments like that i get gorilla-brain monkeys like (you) to reply and give me answers without having to read marketing material
>>716102589
Yeah, they are still charging $70 for the complete edition on the other platforms. Its bamcos fault. I bought DS3 complete for $15 on steam, but ever since Elden Ring came out they've kept their prices on all From games higher. Pic related. Notice where the spike is.
>>716101523
From literally put out a multiplat game earlier this year. Nintendo offers them a fat stack of cash to make a half baked exclusive for them and you think it would be unwise to turn it down?
>>716102979 >it wasn't even a solid 30
Yes, it was. I've played it extensively. Notabley in Blighttown, which the original ps3 game went down to 10fps. Also, Elden Ring is a Ps4 game. The Switch 2 will handle it fine.
>>716103007
Just because you don't like it doesn't make it slop. Also, you should keep in mind that game development is a multistage process. While modelers and animators are working on games already well into production and post-release support, artists and writers are in preproduction of subsequent games.
>>716102890
Lying faggot.
"Dark Souls Remastered on Nintendo Switch can experience frame rate drops, particularly in docked mode and during intense gameplay sequences. While the game aims for 30fps with v-sync, it can struggle to maintain this target, especially when docked, with handheld mode often seeing drops into the low 20s according to Eurogamer and Steam Community."
>>716103073
I played DS1 on switch and it chugged when certain particle heavy magic effects were used. Blight town didn't have its pre-remaster frame rate drops, but that was a culling issue that could be easily addressed. Also Elden Ring does not run well on PS4 (especially the DLC) even with a 30 FPS target.
>>716103141
nothing to do with nintendo, everything to do with switch+from netcode and from's horrible reputation with pvp in their games
you'd know that if you ever bothered to try it out
>>716103175 >Steam Community
PC vegan propaganda. Really though its a great port and is far better than the ps3/360 version. >>716103290
I'm hopeful the switch 2 version will be slightly better than the ps4 version because of its more modern nvidia tech. We will see though. I'm not going to write this port off until we get real numbers for it.
>>716100347
Why would you ever assume the Switch 2 is anything close to a Series S? Do you have any idea the difference in specs between a Series S and PS4 Pro? Jesus, you tendie fags are deluded. The PS5 Pro, the strongest console on that market by far, still doesn't achieve Elden Ring at 60 fps without any drops. There most likely won't be a Switch 2 Elden Ring at all, given that they went with the bloodborne rip off over night reign.
>>716103514
It was a light hearted jab. No need to chud out. I find it funny that Steam Community is being used as a source for the Switch version. I myself have many hours on PC >>716102023
>>716103548 >The PS5 Pro, the strongest console on that market by far, still doesn't achieve Elden Ring at 60 fps without any drops
That's just From's ineptitude. None of their games have ever run flawlessly. Their games are so good that we overlook it. >There most likely won't be a Switch 2 Elden Ring at all
Its confirmed for this year tard
>>716103615
Chud board chud website chud universe. >I find it funny that Steam Community is being used as a source for the Switch version.
As opposed to what, whatever tendie circlejerk subreddit you crawled out of? Eat shit, it's what you're used to.
>>716103653
It looked fine. I played it a lot. Handheld only. It got me through many international flights and roadtrips. If I'm home I play the PC version.
>>716103757
Not confirmed at all. No specific release date, or even a vague one. It'll at least be pushed back to next year, if it comes out at all. Nintendo have obviously given From a lot of money, but it won't make the fisher price tablet any less worthless.

i'm happy i was blessed with the gift of pattern recognition
What I'm interested in is seeing how the Switch 2 achieves its performance. If they use the native DLSS, there might be a general official DLSS update for Elden Ring on PC, which would be nice. I know there's already a mod for it, but one less mod to install is always a nice thing.
