after more than 5000 hours in TF2, I finally moved on.
I am now playing Fortnite with my little bros.
I will always miss TF2 and even on my death bed I will remember it, but I can't keep playing it forever. MyM killed the game for good and my favorite community server (I still remember you WOBRE).
At least with the metaverse shit of Fortnite I may be able to give to the new generations a small taste of the TF2 spirit that existed back then.

I dont play Fortnite or multiplayer games in general but I was obsessed with TF2 for years. I put in around 4k hours before MyM. I tried recently to reinstall it and see if cleaning up the bots made it any better, and it was still a dreadful experience. Casual is a disaster and most good community servers are dead. I'm sad Valve fucked it into oblivion but nothing lasts forever. At least we have our memories.

Old game was a mixed bag. It was endless dustbowl or you found a community server. Community servers could be good or shit, and even then the individual mods could be good or shit because they were working for free. Valve killed it when they listened to dumb esports fags and tried to make TF2 into a competitive game. They killed pretty much all ways for people to find a community server so instead they could play more dustbowl with nerfed weapons and items. Some things never change though, it was always plagued by French and Brazilian children and it still is to this day.

For reference my first pc at 8 years old was a dell optiplex and Pinball on Windows XP was vastly much more funnier. The specs are 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz, 850 EVGA Modeular PSU, RTX 4070 Super 12GB, and a phanteks case which I found on OfferUp for $25 that is worth $100 (Phanteks tampered glass case). I built this for low-mid range gaming since all I cared about is 120 fps and low graphics.

I play single player games exclusively because I hate dealing with people. 4chans great because I just close the tab when i feel over socialized. Ive had more fun and more of a challenge facing off against AI on hard than ive ever had playing online. Its just not fun for me. I wish I wasn't a weirdo recluse hermit so I could enjoy playing with bros. Even if one of my friends gets me to play online with them, it feels more like a chore than fun. I hate being alive.
