Never played the Devil May Cry franchise and never will; juggling enemies that don't fight back sounds super boring to me.
But a lot of people enjoy training mode on fighting games so maybe the concept is appealing to some people.

Sigma 1 is good for new player. QoL additions.
Sigma 2 isn't the shitshow people make it out to be. Makes a few good fixes to vanilla. Just avoid higher difficulties due to fucked balancing and you'll be fine.

So I've heard but the game is blocked in my country on Steam due to Soiny shenanigans. I hope the devs do something about it like Stellar Blade devs, I highly doubt this game needs the Soiny paid internet subscription to play.
So I'm 2 hours into this game and I'm loving it so far. I know its not really character action but it was made by Kamiya. The only bad things I can say about is that it really likes to hold your hand and that for some reason it runs like shit on the PS3
Good timing, I'm finishing a DMC marathon.
Started with 5, went back and played all the games (minus 2 and remake) and I'm playing though DMC 5 again on Son of Sparda difficulty.
Virgil was a pain in normal diff, but I've been stuck in his boss fight for like 4 hours I keep trying to do to much and switch too often to try and get the style meter up but I fuck up and drop combos.
Gotta calm down.
