Day9 explains why Blue Prince is one of the greatest games ever made:
>Multiple overlapping mysteries refresh each run, avoiding progress dead-ends common in puzzle games (i.e., getting stuck on a puzzle doesn't bring the entire game to a halt).
>Engaging second-to-second resource management creates constant tension and player focus.
>All game elements (e.g., story, music, puzzles) work cohesively to evoke mystery and wonder.
>The game’s world and mysteries expand continuously, even after completion, sustaining curiosity like few other games.
>Delivers both the satisfaction of beating the game and the excitement of just beginning, creating a uniquely compelling experience.

Yeah. Blue Prince is pretty solid. I had a good time burning through it.

Blue prince looks gay, the gameplay ui looks incoherent so I didn't even pirate it, love zactronic games by the way.

Blue Prince is more like a cool concept but the execution is terrible depending on RNG per person. Good RNG; more favorable opinion. Bad RNG; less favorable opinion. I feel someone could do a much better Blue Prince game if they tried a little more.

i feel like it hit me a lot sooner before going downhill and i definitely wouldnt say its ever close to the greatest games ever made
once you have figured out what you need to do and are just hoping the game gives you what you need it gets so incredibly tedious
a run button would definitely do this game a lot of favors but even then i basically cheesed my way to infinite stars and coins and felt like shit was taking forever
if not for doing that i would have never finished because i would have given up out of boredom

Ok but why did you post an eceleb's opinion? Are you incapable of forming your own opinions? Are you retarded? Is that it?

Learning how to manipulate the odds is part of the game. In the endgame, you should be swimming in redraws to the point where it's a trivial matter to draft the room you want.

I frankly can't believe that the guy who made blue prince thought it was a good call to let you hit room 46 and start in on the rest of the mysteries without giving you any good methods of direct control over the house

having to spend 30 hours over the course of a 120+ hour game waiting for circumstances to align because you only have a few avenues of exploration left is NOT good design

Can you give me a good reason why a puzzle game needs aggressive RNG? If I've figured out what I have to do next, why do I need to battle with RNG before I get to do it?

I don't give a fuck what Day9 thinks because he's obsessed with shit """strategy""" games that are more about reaction than thought.

No, I'll let you figure that out for yourself. Think of it as another puzzle.
