The game starts off like any Persona, high school setting, calendar + social stats and links, then suddenly the apocalypse happens and the game pivots into being more SMTcore. Who survives the world ending event depends on your bonds and you simply don't have enough time to save everyone.

Typing it out, it just sounds like FF6 with more time and choice permanent options, but I just want anything other than Persona 3 recycled again for the 4th time, and it to bridge the gap between Persona and SMT. That plot outline is essentially what happens in SMT1, but it would have much more build up and characterization before the world ends and demons take over.

It'll never happen, P6 will obviously just be a rehash since Persona sells so much more based on shallow dating sim shit and keeping the stakes pretty low until the last 20% of the game because Japs and weebs just want to perpetually re-experience high school.
