Correct. Early game was actually better in some ways. Especially hacking got nerfed badly and is less fun now. Also can't disassemble junk items now so they're just useless garbage in your inventory. Just a minor thing but still.

I beat Cyberpunk within the first month of release and it always sounds like a good idea to play it again and whenever I do I can't play for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.

Agreed. The illusion of improvement is just that-an illusion. They patched it into being less broken, not into being a better game. All the weird balance changes post-2.0 just gutted some of the more fun builds, neutered variety, and made crafting basically pointless. It looks prettier now, sure, but underneath it’s still the same shallow sandbox with a rushed story and mid-tier gameplay loop.
