Gachas are tertiary fan and giga-zoomer territory, plus opens the gate to F2P underage and poorfags. Many gacha "fans" will play only the gacha and think that's a fine replacement for the actual games and makes them a fan.
Plus, if the gacha gets big enough and the company is greedy you stop getting real games and they go all in on the gachaslop.
