On a serious note Stalker AI STILL hasn't been topped almost 20 years later. The reason anomaly is this popular still is because nothing provides such near real-players gunfights as Stalker
Why are modern Devs such shitters? Even the second game couldn't reproduce the AI

Not to shit on stalker but radiant AI is the successor to A-life. The problem is the devs, not the tools. They both functions similarly from what i've seen. Ruskies just decided to not nerf it unlike Todd with radiant AI.

Shame the game is pretty meh.

If you guys want peak nonsensical stuff, look no further than Tarkov.
AI characters, we call them Scavs in that game, they will aim only on the section of your body that is visible. So, if you're only peaking the tip of your head over a corner, they will headshot you 100% of the time.
Counter-intuitively, the best way to engage scavs is to jump out of cover and expose as much of your body to them.

they are pretty competent (when the game doesn't glitch out), Stalker gunfights are always fun to watch even if you're not the one partaking the action.
It's what makes the games so replayable after many years, every encounter is going to play out differently each time.

That's just how Stalker is and why it's one of the best games. Some of the firefights in that game end up being the most fun thing you'll do in video games in general, especially when it's you against a few low-mid tier enemies and you're constantly moving around breaking line of sight and trying to kill 1 or 2 before the rest all figure out where you are.

I can't record it myself because I don't have the game anymore, but if someone wants some (You)s the next (or this) thread, go launch the first Watch_Dogs, get to the mission where you run from the motel, use grenades to throw Clara off the balcony, and then just sit and wait. She will then proceed to pathfind back to you, killing every guard on her way. Might want to snipe the roof snipers, they can kill her and she can't kill them, but everyone on the second floor will die.

Contrary to what your gaming brain tells you. Those balls in the game are sentient, living, giant mercury balls. And they have AI and path finding just like a regular enemy, except they roll around.
So yes it was patrolling the bridge, it saw the player and attacked it
