As I am growing old Ive started to like movie games like God of Boy, MGS, TLOU 2 and FF7 Rebirth where there is a cutscene for nearly everything

I dont play games like the ones from Ubisoft anymore

MGS isn't a movie game. You can skip the cutscenes and there's generally good gameplay in them.

Nice bait though, trash.

Did you like Silent Hill 2? That's a good movie game.

>FF7 Rebirth

Also, it's weird to me that you say you don't like Ubisoft, but you liked Rebirth, which is Open World. That game has cutscenes, but it has tons of pointless stuff to do. Did you just not do the optional stuff?

I didn't. I am thinking of still playing the Ubisoft ones that I missed like Odyssey, Valhalla, Origins etc. I was literally looking up mods to see if any one of them can reduce the grind ( so I can just play the main story and visit the main locations where are usually very well made )

Oh, okay. I can't even play games like that. If the optional content is bad, I consider the game poorly made. I guess we're just wired differently.

I wouldn't even play that stuff, because I'm really tired of Open World. I loved it in the past. The best thing about Assassin's Creed was the parkour.

I have this figurine in my house, because everyone loved Assassin's Creed back then.

There’s genuinely nothing wrong with enjoying those games, it becomes an issue when every game tries to be like them.

is this even true? Games lean closer to the ubislop formula nowadays. Dont think any of the companies have the budget for motion capture, animation etc required to make these movie games

it was kino for a while. AC2 was legendary. I remember younger me being amazed at all the improvements from 1

Definitely. I played the original, and the setting was really cool, but Assassin's Cred 2 was Italy. Not only was I seeing these countries I've never been to, but you were like climbing buildings and jumping across them. It was crazy and peak escapism.

Cutscenes are more cinematic than Half Life's NPC dialogue in game
