16k hours into FFXI (both 75cap retail and multiple 75cap private servers)
20k hours into Eve Online
A couple thousand hours into Ragnarok Online
started trying out TurtleWoW recently and its OK, but getting over it around the lv 30-ish mark. Its just boring mindless questing compared to other MMOs but I can see how ppl were addicted to this shit in 2004.

How are FFXI private servers? Every one I looked into seemed like complete shit. The reason the original 75-cap was so cutthroat was because of how laissez-faire the devs were. They literally refused to intervene with the player economy, to the point where it took them like five years to even ban a single RMT.
But all the private servers seemed tremendously faggy with server-wide rules for loot and drops and bullishit that completely misses the spirit of the game.

I'm not actively playing one.
wow is still the king but the gameplay loop isn't for me.
I'm optimistic about a few upcoming games though, Blue Protocol, Chrono Odyssey, Bellatores, Aion 2.

I am a perpetual EverQuest player. Collectively probably 32-35k hours /played between all my characters.

It will not last much longer, but it is an irremovable part of my life.

I also play City of Heroes on the side. Thats a good time too.

Which one? If you're talking about NGS then yeah, it's basically a padded-out lobby with a lootbox simulator stapled to it. If you're talking about that other one they've got in the pipeline-"Project Saturn" or whatever-that thing looks DOA before it's even escaped pre-alpha art assets. Sega still thinks it's 2005 and we're all impressed by particle spam and floaty jumps.
