I can't even play wilds and I don't feel fomo because all the people that played wilds say it's shit, even the redditors whose critique starts with "first of all, I unconditionally love monster hunter and capcom", so yeah.

Besides, for me nightreign filled the monster hunter void surprisingly well.

wilds ruined my opinion of monster hunter permanently i don't think im coming back, i usually get every new release its been something i do every time a new game comes out, fast forward to wilds beta and its one of the worst games i've ever played now i don't even want to play the older games either, was trying to get back into sunbreak again and the series just leaves a sour taste in my mouth, its clear im not the target audience anymore as a vet of the series so im out and probably not coming back, i don't know who wilds is made for but its not fans of the series thats certain.

Something happened with Capcom that things are going sideways, Dragon's Dogma 2 having a fucked up launch isn't really that surprising but Monster Hunter is Capcom's 1# game and its still runs like ass.

It keeps getting worse and my motivation to return for the new G rank or HR game goes down with every new generation. They are looking for a new audience and don't care about their old fans any more so it's simply time to move on to other games.

There is a LOT of grinding. If you're getting 1 shot by story bosses, it's time to put the story aside and upgrade your armor. This process repeats itself over and over and it's not uncommon to spend hours between main quests. Which is why I dropped the game.

I'm a Worldbaby and tried to get into it again after not playing for 5 years or so. Was completely lost though. Is there a way to start from scratch, but skip all the gay story?
If not, I guess I'll try again by killing oversized lizards and work my way up.
