I hated 13 years ago and I hate it now.

Slowly realizing that this shit is just retail with less QoL that is glazed mostly by PvP robots and people that think having 10 extra bloat abilities is a good thing
Although I admit Pandaria probably has the prettiest zones out of all expansions

already got my Pandaria fill in Mop Remix, dont feel the need to go at it again

Overrated gameplay, Cataclysm made most of the modernization changes it piggybacked off of MoP just made them more casual. The continent had interesting lore when it came to anything that wasn't those shit-ass pandas.

Pandaland itself is kino, some of the best zones Blizz ever designed. Solid raids and class design. Doesn't have the magic of vanilla, but it's good in its own right and easily on par with TBC and Wrath.

It's a good expansion but it's not Classic. I played that shit on a 1440p/144hz gsync monitor in 2014, that feels modern to me.

Every expansion of WoW invalidates the last expansion. If you want to "actually" experience a raid in WoW you have to do it while it's current content because otherwise you will outlevel the content and trivialize it. Private servers and classic servers enable you to experience the content as "current content" with the level cap and balance intact. These servers are for people who missed out the first time or who are nostalgic for these old raids basically.

And it had Cata to contrast with. Pandaria was a lovely place for an expansion.

But that said I won't be replaying it with Classic, my attitude to that version in general is 'I already did all that'

I don't know, I loved MoP but I feel it kind of ruins the entire fun and magic of an MMORPG playing an old expansion in which you know about everything and everything that will happen.

It's a great thing because it separates dogshit players from good players, besides providing entertaining gameplay. If i could reach through this screen i'd smack you across the face for regurgitating garbage you yourself don't fully agree with. Arms spec among others was fucking terrible in WoD after MoP because idiots like to larp as game devs and bitch about a game having depth and complexity.

The game was at it's worst best in Wrath because each spec had more than a few spells and abilities to use, instead of being a kindergarten trolly with geometric holes for retarded children to shove plastic shapes through. The game went progressively faster towards the shithouse with each new expac after ditching many abilities design philosophy that offered more ways of solving gameplay and many niches for emergent strategies and gameplay.

This is the poopsock's and tigole's legacy as history repeats itself, just like it did during Cataclysm. The said sweats are pushing 40 and/or trooning out, while classic is a bot infested graveyard, as most of the bots are funded by blizzard itself (hence no bands) to keep the image of having an in game economy, and a game afloat.

I remember seeing the chat only used for selling boosts and gold. I knew it immediately its over and uninstalled. This kind of game which can create an avalanche so big even mainstream consciousness gets sucked in, cannot be replicated anymore. Its just too many things going against its very core philosophy: its for the nerds to have fun, be immersed in the world and make connections.
Even in the design philosophy its so noticeable how Elwynn forest has an entirely different thought put behind than any modern WoW forest. Elwynn remains timeless, every other forest-y are after that? Who gives a fuck I can't even name them, because they're irrelevant, manufactured for a walmart checklist. If you have a wiki open on your second monitor its over.

Didn't play OG MoP but I'm genuinely liking it. The gameplay is fluid, the zones are cool, and you can freely move around hubs if you start to dislike a zone.
The dungeons are meh, a shame we're stuck with them even with the extra heroic++++ modes.
Haven't tried the raids yet.
It's worth the 13 bucks for a "solo" game. Don't know if I'll keep playing once I hit the timegated stuff.
