When the average person is given the opportunity, they will compare something that, when filtered through their values, has them come out on top so they can feel better about that thing.

I'm all for health care being considered a basic human right. I've been working for 12 years now and I don't care who is using it, single moms, geriatrics, incel NEETs, immigrants. I would rather my tax dollars go towards a system that literally anybody can use freely. There are worse things to waste money on, like defense budget and aid for certain foreign countries. There should be limits to what welfare and support you can get for people who are unwilling to work but health care should not be among those things. Gaming gets a bad reputation because of confirmation bias in a lot of people
They see someone who might not take the best care of themselves (bad hygiene, over/underweight, bad fashion, etc) and hearing they play games as their primary hobby confirms that all gamers must be slovenly losers
I’m considered attractive by a lot of people, take care of myself, and am decently successful, so when people ask how I spent my night and I tell them I was playing games, they’re shocked but also interested and usually entertain me to ask more about what I’m playing
I’ve had legitimate conversations with turbo normie chads and stacies about why I like Koei Musou games and it’s a little bizarre to see them make comments like “oh I didn’t know they made games about ‘ancient China’ I wonder if they’ll do something like that for the American revolution haha”
Any hobby can be made interesting by the person describing it with enough sincere honesty

Every person that I found with a hobby and of interest never defined itself as its hobby. They say "I like golf", or "I play football". The balanced people I never heard say "I'm a golfer" or "I'm a footballer", unless it's their job.

So if someone says "I'm a gamer", that's a yellow flag to me. Like, I do play guitare, but sometimes when I say "I'm guitarist" or "I'm a musician", I'm missing my own vibes. Because these are my hobbies, not my job.

Even saying "I'm a gaming enthusiast" would sound better to me if I heard someone saying it. I would know the guy may not be super good at all games but is knowledgeable and have a good attitude.

I don't know what it's like in Russia because I am not Russian, but here in Europe, the healthcare is not "free" in a way that you only have to pay a symbolic fee of half a euro or one euro to be admitted if you are visiting a government program supported doctor or a clinic with the family doctor's referral. This can involve a waiting period, bu it's not always the case. So long as you get things done through your doc, you get stuff basically for free, you only need to pay a paltry admittance fee. Same goes for prescription meds, they also are not "free", but the discount is like 99.9% , so you also pay half a euro for it, take your meds and go. In most cases this sort of healthcare is what majority of the people use and it is of mediocre quality, but not completely awful. You sometimes might have to wait in line for a couple of months for more expensive to service procedures like MRI or Endoscopy.

If you don't want to deal with any of that and are rich, you can always make use of private clinics, you pay the full price of every service and nothing is subsidized by the government unless you have insurance, but even then, insurance plans frequently do not cover many of the things that you might need. You get premium service, but you pay the premium price.
