Fuck no. It's way too bloated. Plus the story sucks, essentially being a Tarantino rip off structure wise without anything that's actually emotionally investing. I preferred the iconic schizo shit of HM1. But that game would be improved if that whole biker section was cut. There being an actual explanation and plot behind the phone calls was nonsensically stupid. It would have worked better if it was just the protagonist being a schizo hearing voices on the phone telling him to kill people.

I cannot view Hotline Miami 1 and 2 as separate entities, they are too deeply entwined with each other mechanically and narratively I consider it a single work, HM2 enriches HM1 to the point I think it harms HM1 to remove HM2.
