what do you specifically need advice about? like, game mechanics? at some point the difficulties are absolutely just chance. there is entertainment in trying to make dogshit work but it wont work very often. play your best hands, exploit money interest, balance jokers, get planets if you don't have a good source of +chips or +mult, use tarots when it wont fuck your interest unless you really need help. save money if you aren't immediately struggling. if after first shop i am getting 2000 chips a hand, im not going to buy rerolls or tarots until ive exceeded interest

You don’t always only play them in ante 1-3, but any mult scaler will get you there, a non-rental holo or chips joker will get you there.

The thing is with high card and pair you will on average generate more Econ because you can fully use 5 cards to cycle each discard as well as 5 cards per hand played. Meaning you can fish for stuff like faceless joker value, mail in rebate value, you can dig for gold cards or blue seals. You turn this value into scoring so even if your individual hands are less you scale better and are not at risk of just not drawing your 4+ card hand

i fucking hate that i use the ALEEB seed (the one that gives you all legendary posters) I used to play everyday and showed it to a friend who got addicted as well. When we tried the seed normal balatro became boring, not reached exponential felt off, both of us eventually quit the game and we talked about it lately and we both came to the conclusion that the seed was the reason

Look for stuff that triggers by things that you can stack. Especially things with the trigger being a multiplier. Getting red seals on things as well as stuff like Hanging Chad and Hack can be great at retriggers. Even better if you can copy them with Blueprints.
Also try to get the voucher that lets the planets in your inventory give multis. And to top it off try to get lots of silvers in your hand and glass in what you play.

Clubs or spades are definitely better. Spade is a chip solution for ante 8, and clubs will carry your mult up to the point you need X mult anyway. Diamonds are certainly the most splashable though.

Every run needs the following in order of priority: X mult/econ, mult, chips. You can reach each requirement through a lot of different ways, but that's the baseline of what you require. If you're struggling with orange stake, you should identify which element your run is missing, and how you arrived at that problem.
Taking jokers like banner, blue card, ice cream, suit mult, and hand mult is required for the first 3 antes because they allow you to get through antes without spending additional money. Hitting the interest cap is generally really important.
Once you hit the interest cap (usually in ante 2/3), you want to start extracting value from your blinds. Tarot packs for gold/lucky cards, standard packs for gold/blue/purple, take these whenever you see them. Then start throwing hands away to extract value from those resources every blind if you can, and pocket Deaths to duplicate them. Pocketing Fool, waiting for a death to show up in a pack works as well.
Once you're able to consistently extract value from every blind, you can basically never lose, since you'll generally create enough scoring/econ that you can find the requisite X mult to win.

Plasma or Yellow

Plasma is good for Ante 1 skips since you can beat the first boss by playing a Single flush, and getting early Chip jokers makes you sail through the early game. The issue is you need to scale super hard, but you'll be aiming to do this regardless so it's a mild concern.

Yellow solves your early game by just giving you the ability to reach $25 as soon as possible, as well as being to afford Rare Jokers in the case they do show up early. It also enables cheeky stuff like Skip for Tarot Booster -> Temperance.

Blue deck is also good but you have to be many Antes in before it starts outscaling Yellow and that's not really reliable enough.

Basically for any Gold Stake run you must get $25 as soon as possible during early game, or you cannot scale - more importantly you cannot mitigate the effects of rental tags on strong Jokers without already having enough Gold for interest to off-set it.

I've got 25 hours but have yet to get past Ante 12

It's borderline impossible unless you're using Baron & Mine, Perkeo & Telescope, or you're doing Flush Five with Triboulet and Sock&Buskin.
Even with a bunch of Chads and Photographs it's difficult to go beyond Ante 11 without Mr Bones.

Every infinite run is just fishing for BaronMine so that's the only reliable way to get to high Antes.
