Star Rail is a full-fledged, high-budget 3D adventure game. Blue Archive is a voiceless visual novel accompanied by a basic top-down arcade game that plays itself. Star Rail needs hundreds of employees to run and manage, BA needs a single tiny group of character designers and writers, and maybe one coder dude to ductape it all together. The fact that BA at any point manages to hit the same highs as Star Rail should tell you how much actual profit they're making. Star Rail NEEDS those numbers to keep going, hence why ZZZ devs are sounding the alarms for not keeping up with their older brothers, despite making really good numbers regardless. Meanwhile, BA can live comfortably, carried by the same dozen whales from somewhere in Tokyo.
Also, HSR is fucking ass, I say that as someone who plays all Hoyo games.
