First post? Best post? A match made in heaven.
If a game's entire "hype cycle" only lasts a week and the goldfish-world moves on to the next "thing" immediately, there's no interest in making "the old thing" available to everyone because no one cares anymore.

It honestly did. I don't like Denuvo either but I have to admit that it has completely removed day 1 cracks from warez sites.
Anonymous No.716233472 [Report] >>716234141
Why is Denuvo meant to be so hard to crack?
As I understand, Denuvo games are encrypted, and are decrypted on the fly as you play them. I assume you get the decryption key from the Denuvo servers.
In that case, what's stopping someone from intercepting the decryption key and then just using that without the server check? Or just permanently decrypting the files with that?
There's got to be more to it than that, because then every Denuvo game could probably be cracked pretty easily.

Nevermind. I actually read how it's meant to work and apparently it layers basically every anti-tamper, anti-reverse engineering meme technique in the book purely to slow down anyone trying to reverse engineer it.

I still remember when Denuvo got removed from MHWorld and people were calling me schizos when I was saying that the stutters were gone and that the game started almost instantly.
And then I laughed when Eniggerma was added through an update, and I simply backed up my old version and copied it over when Steam forced that new update on me.

AI needed millions and millions of pictures to learn how to make similarly looking pictures that still look AI.
If you train some AI with millions upon millions of denuvo executables with their corresponding cracked copies it would most likely be able to crack new ones, and even then there’s no guarantee it wouldn’t fuck up some random bit making it completely unplayable. Good luck trying to find the one flipped bit that makes the program crash.
And even then we don’t have millions of training .exe files with denuvo on it

I dunno, you start the bought game and have the AI look at it while you play the game. Then you run a naughty copy and let it compare the way it runs. I am still hopeful it will be achievable. Five years ago I would have found it much more likely to be a thing rather than generating images or music.
