I'm convinced body problems from gaming are entirely genetic. I've had bad posture my whole life and no issues anywhere.

Mental fortitude not to be a slouch is genetic, yes.
Lazy bones over here lol.

Bad posture is a problem only if you're a child and are developing.
Once you're an adult it's not "bad posture" or "forward neck posture", it's you having literally zero core muscles.
Do deadlifts and squats (with barbell weights, not bodyweight shit) and suddenly woow your body can hold itself up perfectly

deadlifts are not worth the risk that come with the benefits

They're risky only if you put weights on them before you've learned the technique.
Again you show your dunning-kruger mentality

Bone structure also has to do with it sometimes, either from genetics or a disease that fucks with the shape of your spine and/or how your pelvis is positioned which can force you to stand in a weird way just to maintain balance. It can still be worked on with physical therapy and other treatments from what I understand (which isn't a lot)

>developed de quervain's tensovitis in my right thumb
>got a cortisone injection that got rid of the pain but only for about 5 months
>doc said it sometimes "doesn't take" on the first try and gave me another one
>also got rid of the pain but only for 5 months or so
>probably gonna have to get surgery to fix it now
hope the surgery doesn't prevent me from gaymin for too long

Terrible technique is a popular disease sadly. Nobody wants to get good but everybody wants to lift a shitton of weights, not realizing that you're supposed to add weights AFTER the previous weight becomes trivial. Not before.

Those are the exceptions. You statistically are not one, you're just too lazy to do the research and go to a gym.
