The early parts go by faster than the later, it's pretty much just the mundane foundation that lets the later exotic scenarios work, so even though I say 30-40% by arcs it's less than the later parts. I don't have an exact hour count, but maybe 5-6 hours at a decent pace. Maybe it can go up to 9, Superhuman is a long VN. I thought the art was a dealbreaker too at first, but you get used to it and it gets pretty good later on.

I'm not picky about setting. The ones I listed gives an idea, but I can get into fantasy too, or even the basic SS-setup stories, or anything if the writing is decent.
