Of the "joke" or why OP is posting it?
Anyway, The joke is that even if the Narrative team changes the name the programming files refering to the characters will still use the old name (Because there is probably a lot of files, and things pointng to those files), and because the Team worked with those file and knew the character by the original name they will use the old name because that was what they had their interactions and established memories with. Menawhile the guy who suggested and got through the name change is seething cause no one is using the name he suggested and got accepted.
As for why OP is posting it?
Artist is a "Gamedev" (that did concept art) that is making a soapboxing comic about how hard being a Gamedev is to own Chuds and what not. You know standard Culture War stuff.
