I'm glad i waited to get this game, bought an used copy for cheap and... it's pretty mid.
The combat is boring, the game isn't sure if it's going for soulslike or pure action. Generic, boring enemies don't help it either, since it uses the combat style from a soulslike but it only manages to be engaging during boss fights. They should have gone with a DMC or Ninja Gaiden type combat, i can see the game being fun if it felt more fluid to control Eva.
I don't know what the fuck they were doing when implementing the "run-and-gun" areas, they don't mix well with the rest of the game. The crafting and skill systems are simplistic as fuck too.
This shit is sitting on a 81 on Metacritic, i don't know the critics are paid off or of they just bought into the hype, but the game is a mess.
