idk but I'm only 32 and I just have to learn about integrals then I'm done with calculus which is supposedly the hardest class in my whole cs degree so my life will be on easy street from there. But now that I've studied math for 6 hours today do I work on coding portfolio projects or play dq11?

Whenever you stop having fun. It's like saying when are you too old to play sports. Eventually your body just can't sustain it. I guess technically you could still play and have fun but people blowing past you and scoring on you left and right and barely being able to get up and down the court/field is probably not much fun either. I think you should play as long as you're having fun, especially single player shit. Online multiplayer is a bit different since you're impacting other people's experience as well.

People are saying computer architecture and operating systems for programmers are hard because of tons of memorization but bros, your flash cards? Some people say discrete math 1 and 2 is harder because it's more abstract and relies on critical thinking more than just following mathematical procedure correctly like calculus but look, I'm clearly not retarded anon.

It's literally only going to get harder. DSA, operating systems, etc are all harder than calculus.

G-good, like I said calculus is easy you just follow the rules and plus that shit like data structures is hella cool so it will be fun to learn and not a bit tedious like math.

Books are for kids and lonely women unless they touch on philosophical issues.
Movies are for kids unless they're heavily psychological R rated movies.
The time for socialization is high school and college. If you're still lonely after that it's unironically over for you. Your coworkers and other people your age have their own families and their own problems and have no room for you.

All these anons telling you that you're too old etc. are retards. Just make sure to practice interviews once it's time. The "hardest" part will be getting that junior job at the start which admittely won't be that hard compared to other jobs honestly. Just make sure you can answer basic programming questions and can do technical interview tests (fucking HR makes those but it's the song and dance you need to do for those cunts).

Once you have your first job, the first year will be stressful since you'll be forced to pick up a lot of shit at once. After that it will be easy street. You will gain experience and you can pretty much apply anywhere no problem.
Age 32. Nobody in our field cares. Only HR or sales people care about that bullshit so they can gossip like a bunch of cunts. After a couple of years of experience, nobody's going to care at all that you were a 32+ year old junior.

No, just no. The algorithm course will be your hardest class. Shit like np-complete, divide and conquer, logic gates, greedy algorithms and dynamic programming. That's the shit that you need to nail down. Hope you have a strong grasp of discrete maths.

It's a hard course, but you get the most out of it. You will learn to analyze problems and design algorithms based on your intuition. This is because you understand the limitations of each data structure. Where you need to consider its time and space complexity. When you read other people's code, you can tell how efficient it is. You will also learn a lot neat tricks to save time and processing power. Good luck!
