Video gamey? Chiptunes were in vogue in the early 2010s, what with Black Eyed Peas ripping off YMCK, even some reggaeton used NES bleep bloops. I think some songs can still include video game sounds, and chiptune itself has its own niche (see the pico scene in Japan).

Music production can vary... Though a lot of modern music is jarringly badly mixed due to compression and dynamic loss, but if we talk actual genres and music style... Yeah, not much changed. Still regaeton, still trap, still the same pop. You don't have drastical style changes between decades like progressive rock, to punk, to new wave, to glam to grunge that past decades saw. We're still listening to the same niggers and the same whores that we were listening in the 10s and 00s
Meme genres like vaporwave and bedroom pop may make some momentary buzz online but it's all so shallow and low effort and ironic/dishonest that it doesn't have lasting power and at best is just cannibalized by pop while it's still hot
