>>716268861What about its combat? its very shallow and boring.
What do you think about the economy system and how easily you get rich? By the end of chapter 2 i had more money than i ever needed, every shop had the same things to buy and i had lots of them, i felt there was no need or incentive to explore because its all made meaningless because of that.
What do you think about the side characters? they are a shallow husk with no personality, they are plot devices following Dutch plans, even Arthur the main hero that made all casual shit their pants and cry in pain, that dude is a walking contradiction, and his character development pacing is fucked, he suddenly spikes without proper build up.
What do you think about the realism aspect of the game? the game tries so hard to be realistic, it shoves tedious animations down your throat for realism and immersion but in the same breath you and Lenny can solo an entire group of trained bounty hunters and law units? how is that realistic?
What about the missions? aside from being repetitive as you said, they are also very very restrictive always punishing you for completing the required objective because you did it YOUR way.
What do you think about chapter 5 and the transition to chapter 6? that was a huge pacing error.
Did you enjoy the gameplay? cleaning the stable of horeshit was fun? collecting cow milk is fun? fishing is good gameplay? really?
I'm not saying the game is total dogshit, but its literally rated at the top, it doesnt deserve that when other games do the same and are getting shat on 24/7, this doesn't make sense.
RDR2 is carried only by its budget, the game is huge its AAAA but its story is average, characters are a mixed bag, the villain is soo stereotypical and obviously shallow, the open world feels alive but is empty and boring to explore, traversal is awful, gameplay is shallow, mission design is bad, pacing is whacky. i dont get it? all this for presentation and attention to details?
