Hello, I’m Anonymous, 30y casual anime fan. As a ‘90s/2000s kid, I was chained to TV for Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon, Saint Seiya, Digimon, and Yu-Gi-Oh, eating up 4Kids’ butchered dubs like a dumbass kid who thought “jelly donuts” were peak culture. Manga? Tried Fushigi Yugi, but that shojo soap opera bullshit got yeeted faster than a filler villain. Read some Ragnarok manhwa, then ditched anime for years (except Trigun, ‘cause Vash is the goat).
In 2012, a high school bro slapped me awake with Another, Elfen Lied (bloodbath insanity), and SAO (Kirito’s harem simulator). By 2015, I was a depressed 4chan gremlin, circlejerking over trans women and raging at “woke” Western shows, swallowing dumbass Marxist conspiracy crap. Anime felt like a safe haven, so I mainlined Cowboy Bebop (Spike’s saved me), Evangelion (Shinji, get in the fucking robot), Black Lagoon (Revy could shoot me and I’d thank her), and Ghibli’s whole catalog. Joined MAL in 2016 to stop losing track of my binges, but my backlog’s a goddamn kaiju I’ll never slay.In 2019, I restarted collecting manga (Ghost in the Shell, Gunnm: Battle Angel Alita). I can't keep with my backlog cause anxiety and my trash organization have me crawling slower than a slug.
I vibe with Hokuto no Ken’s skull-smashing chaos, Yuru Yuri’s cute-ass nonsense, isekai, sci-fi, and demon-slaying gorefests. I juggle games and cartoons, leaving 2019/20/21 anime to rot like expired ramen. Plot twist: I’m over that 4chan anti-woke phase,those losers are cringier than my old posts. Life’s a savage meme.
