>Moving cameras can be pre-rendered.
>in theory it's possible to have the camera walk backwards, as well as creating a branching path the camera can follow, making it completely seamless
>only one or two games in history use pre-rendered cameras

>gaming conventions 30 years ago had booths to talk about the power of pre-rendering and the efficiency it could unlock
>literally 1 game made with it that is passable
wtf happened??

>better processors come along
>techbros go "you can just simulate everything! There's no need for efficiency!"
Except in 2025, everybody walks with a smarphone that works as a shitty weak computer.
There are now TVs with smartphone chips.
There are still people who own computers with no graphics cards.
And on top of that, pre-rendered games that were done well like Resident Evil Zero have aged spectacularly.

So imagine being able to play a game that looks like Resident Evil Zero, except with a camera that moves and follows you, on your TV or by having your smartphone plugged on your TV.

we should honestly go back to pre rendered for some genres
boku no natsuyasumi is another example in another style on how to use these
