I hate the state monopoly on liquor stores, and the abysmal road maintenance. You can literally see the roads get worse the instant you cross from Maryland into Pennsylvania, or from New York or Ohio into Pennsylvania. The only place where the roads don't get appreciably better as soon as you cross is the panhandle of West Virginia, between the border at 80°31' W and the Ohio River.
