I mean it's a much more niche title compared to Mario Kart. Donkey Kong's already kind of a third-rate Ninty franchise in regards to mass appeal and the gameplay's clearly geared to small children who these days aren't exactly gamers in the same way they were 20 years ago. Nowadays, the ipad generation doesn't have the attention span for anything but tiktok and youtube shorts.
