Definitely way more standoffish and more cliqey. In the North, was able to literally make friends on a whim with ease just by striking up conversations in the pub or at a park. South, you go to meetups and all sorts and people still won't really expand outside of their clique, and it's seen as pretty weird to start talking to people even in a pub that aren't part of your clique.
It took me a lot of time to adapt to London, and the people I made friends with here, weren't even British, but Americans and Australians.

One of the more annoying things about the UK is that we have GOAT Fantasy/Scifi licenses (Warhammer/40k/LotR) and we do fucking NOTHING with them. There is no Warhammer theme park or even rides at Alton Towers which is like half an hour away from Warhammer World, no big Warhammer stuff around, no Warhammer TV show, no Warhammer movies. You would think even for Halloween they would team up with the scare events to do like, Warhammer chaos, nightgoblin etc scare mazes but nope. Literally the most profitable UK Company and basically does not exist beyond the online sphere.
Meanwhile NZ has LotR shit EVERYWHERE, the second you land in a NZ airport you are blasted with LotR a BRITISH IP and Russia has Warhammer shit everywhere again a BRITISH IP, yet none of that shit exists here, just faggy potter and some Doctor Who which again is just LGBT propaganda.
