First two / threeish movies were great. You zoomers won’t experience anything like it: >practical effects >creativity
You’ll just keep consooming the same CGI found footage jump scare crap.
From the last thread, I found out that there's a book. Is the book a good read? I need a good book to read. So much that I've thought of visiting /lit/. I haven't read a book in a long ass time, probably since graduating high school.

Compared to some older movies like Nightmare on Elm Street and The Thing, the practical effects in the Hellraiser movies were always kind of shit. I'd argue that Phantasm made better use of practical effects and that's a movie from the fucking 70s made on a shoestring budget.
So how's the actual gameplay for this game? Is it like Alien Isolation? You run when cenobite appears or use distraction or is it gonna have some little combat thrown in the mix?
How do you actually deal with Cenobite in the book/flim?

It's good, and it's a novella so not a big book. There's been an audio book version on YouTube for years. Bonus is that it's read by clive himself, before his voice went to shit from all the cigar (and likely cock) smoking.

What the hell are you smoking? The Cenobites are some of the coolest movie monsters of all time.

There is gun and melee combat. That will at least be used on human enemies that will at least come in the form of a Cenobite worshipping cult who mutilate their bodies to try and imitate the Cenobites. It looks like the og four Cenobites will be used as stalker enemies like Mr X and Nemesis, potentially eventual boss fights with them. I could see lesser Cenobites / Labyrinth creatures being introduced as more cannon fodder to fight.
