I was obsessed with fnaf when it first came out. there was something different about the first one compared to the rest. The gameplay was really novel and there was something about the amosphere and setting of the game that made it feel special

It's disappointing that this became a full on kids series because the initial theories and ideas around the story were pretty interesting. I really like the fan interpretation where the crying child is also an Afton and how his death sends William completely off the deep end, causing this deep utter seething and obsession over Micahel killing the favorite child. It makes William feel like a more genuine antagonist by having all of this resentment and self pity that is so essential to narcassistic freaks. I like that a lot more than mad scientist trying to become immortal with ghost goo. Can't say that I blame Scott though, he's just securing his childrens future and his childrens children's futures

As a character, Michael was pretty inconsequential desu. You could do SL and PS with the MCs being randos and the story wouldn't really change, compared to something like Devil May Cry 1 or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night where the protagonist's heritage is integral to the games' stories..

On the bright side the artist was fired almost instantly after the leak and the outrage, with the entire comic series now being pushed back to find actual talent, so alls well that ends well.

I love the first movie, I laughed so fucking hard at the girl getting bit in half. Also loved that everything was majority practical effects. The Blumhouse budget film style is perfect for a franchise like this.

Also looking forward to The Exit 8 movie in August.
