THat only happens if you activate it while low on hp.
If you are high on hp, your get a 5-10buff where you hit harder and have a different moveset.

actually the best thing I can say is that besides anti-soul gas the game has some nice visuals in places.

The devil trigger looks nice and the game on 100 contrast actually is nice.
Wasn't impressed by the voice work, but it wasn't bad either.
the voice work of some of the bosses was cringy though.

I liked Soulstice
I got used to the color mechanics but there was one thing I couldn't get over. It was having some environmental hazards tied to the colors, specifically the landmines. Not only did they require a specific color but they'd regenerate after a while.
I'm a fan of punch girls so I liked both the gauntlets and tonfas. The weapon I thought was useless were the daggers. Everything else was fun.
